After a couple months of the Friendly Gamers being involved in Club Penguin Armies, comes to an end.. The Friendly Gamers first became a Club Penguin army in 2020, after a month it shutdown. It was reopened back up into CPA after being a gaming server for a few months in 2023. Our intentions was to revive FG back into a reformed and greater CPA army than it was before. We enjoyed being apart of Club Penguin Armies a ton, and enjoyed the community, but being apart of the CPA community just didn't work out so great. With school starting up recently, myself and Jakob have been pretty busier than we thought we'd be, we started having less and less time to work on FG as an army. As you can probably tell, we started having less events and less activity within our server due to that reason. We still want to, and plan on putting work into FG, however we just haven't had time to work on our server with it being involved in CPA. We've also noticed that our members who joined us when we were a gaming server, much enjoyed us better doing gaming rather than Club Penguin.
What does that mean for the server?
Well as you can see by the title, we're still gonna be around but not as an army, as a gaming server again. If you've been here for a few months you'll know much about how we worked as just a gaming server. We'll work similar to how we did then and start up events again eventually, also we will do a few changes to our server for the better.
Some changes that we're needing to tell you are a few minor ones but I think should be stated. One thing isn't really a change but rather one last CPAB Friendly Gamer event. We don't wanna just tell you all that we're leaving CPA and never have an event on it again sooo.. We plan on having an event on CPAB followed by a FG history Kahoot right after! This event will be the Friendly Gamers saying their farewell to Club Penguin, while hanging out and having one last FG + Ally event. The date of the event isn't confirmed yet, once it is, it'll be announced as usual.
Another change I want to point out is the Ally/Visitor role situation. As we become a gaming server, we wont really have allies/visitors anymore. Many people are currently in our server as Ally/Visitor, and we don't want to just take away their role when we become a gaming server again. After our last event on CPAB, we will no longer be adding the Ally or Visitor role to any newcomers. Those members of our server who are currently an ally or visitor will now have their name displayed in our member list as Friendly Gamers, but they will keep their Ally/Visitor role colors for archive purposes.
Thank you everyone for reading and understanding our decisions in moving away from CPA again and moving further towards the gaming part of our server. This was a tough decision to make, but we do believe it benefits us. I just want to give one last thank you to those who supported us on our journey even if it was a short journey. We appreciate our advisors, allies, visitors, members, and staff a ton, we wouldn't have gotten anywhere without you all. Anyways make sure to stay tuned for further changes within our server and our last CPAB event that isnt very far away!
